About Us

Creating Expressions is a voluntary counselling project that began in 2017.

Our counselling service is based in Tottenham and we work with children, young people, adults, and groups in the Haringey area, and beyond. We provide help, support and guidance with the mental and emotional problems and concerns that can affect anyone, their families, or their communities..
We work in schools, in private counselling rooms and will work in our client’s homes, ensuring all the Covid-19 and other safeguards are in place. All our counsellors are Registered Members of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and are fully insured.

Creating Expressions and Young People

Creating Expressions is about providing a safe space for young people to explore their thoughts, feelings, and fears.
They may have witnessed or experienced crime and violence and are struggling with the traumatic results. School, college, or life in general, may be a struggle. Feelings of anxiety, anger or isolation can be hard to manage alone.
We aim to give young people a voice, a safe space where they can be heard, and to help them to travel through the negative effects that their feelings and problems may have left them with.

Our Aims

  • To Improve the quality of the mental health of young people and adults in the London Borough of Haringey and beyond, particularly in minority ethnic communities.

  • To raise the self-confidence, self-worth, and self-esteem of everyone we work with, as well as giving them a sense of empowerment.

  • To inspire the changes needed, helping young people and adults to fulfil their potential.

  • To go some way towards reducing conflict within groups and between individual young people and adults by providing a non-judgemental space to talk, reflect, and explore new ways of thinking and being.

  • To support young people, their families and friends who have been affected by traumas, violence, and crime.
